Now if you are more adventurous, you can anticipate entries on the 1% or 2% by just using:

to preselect a watchlist and enter in anticipation or during the day.Or you can even use technical analysis........

    Actually, your entire trading strategy is based on technical analysis. Not that that's a bad thing, but technical analysis IS the examination of price and volume action without regard to the fundamentals of the underlying company ... i.e., son of double trouble.

    In other news technical analysis has also discovered cure for cancer and if you use the right technical analysis tools you can also increase your bust size if you are female and pecker length if you are male. Technical analyst just keep expanding their definition to claim everything under the sun as technical analysis.

    TA doesn't cure cancer or look at cash flow statements, or income statements. It also doesn't look at the positions of the sun, moon, or stars, or have cosmetic medical effects. It does, however, encompass all techniques based solely on price and volume analysis. Your TA may not be traditional, but it is TA.

    i agree with Vishal, this blog is Pure Gold, i had read so many finance blogs, TA blogs ect and putting all of them together,none made ME a decent return based on their ideas, however, since i started reading and APPLYING pradeep concepts, i had started making more and consistent return on my investments..so call it whatever TA, trading system, ect...but it MAKES ME MONEY LOL ,MY HAT TO PRADEED :p

    According to my real time quote, SNHY carries a really big bid-ask spread.
    Bid ~ 21$, Ask ~ 47$.
    Is that something that you would prefer to avoid?

    Those things scare a little, no?

    You can further improve it by taking out of the 1% only the stock with negative days and entering them in anticipation. Try say stock should be in top 1% and last 3 days should be negative. Enter next day , liquidate when the stock makes 5% or plus move. That is how I intend to use this.

    Name should ideally capture the essence of a concept. That way Virgin and Episodic Pivot do very good job. Many times I find better names after many months or days.

    You probably won't like this, but "Bull Flag Breakout" is descriptive.

    With the flag limited to +10% gain in 22 trading days, and setting a cutoff for a very high run-up into the flag. Then you scan for breakouts.

    It is not a question of liking or hating technical analysis. I have read every book on TA. Know more TA than many people who claim to be expert on TA.
    TA is basically about tactics not about strategy. If you want to make 10-15% per annum, you use TA, if you are looking for higher returns, you need different strategies.
    TA may be small part of a overall larger strategy. Take the IBD case, it works because stock selection is done based on earning momentum and price momentum. Those are statistically proven concept. Now chart pattern like Cup with Handle is small part of tactics used in the overall strategy of buying a high EPS , high Relative Strength, high margin, high ROE and many stock.
    Less skilled speculators or those lacking in perspective just keep focusing on the chart patterns.
