Market Monitor
May 1, 2007
Profit taking drove the market down. Small caps, which were struggling for sometime, were the leader on downside. Obviously the first negative day will be bought and several such attempt will be required before market turns direction. So this correction will last for few days.
I have added a Google Spreadsheet for this, so the data can be tracked over a period of time easily.
Market Monitor

Total 4% plus bearish breakouts = 225

ReplyDeletePradeep,
ReplyDeletein your seminal double trouble post, you mention the 3-day low of breakout trio as your stop...
what is your stop of the episodic pivot trade? did you mention on in there? i looked but couldn't find one.
thanks
Same.
ReplyDeleteok - thanks
ReplyDeletesame for earnings breakout as well ?
ReplyDeleteyes.
ReplyDeletePlus on all entries a time stop of 5 days. If a stock does not move above entry signal high in 5 days, then position is closed even if the 3 day low stop is not hit.
Stocks which work form EP, IBD200, Virgin, or Double Trouble start rallying immediately after breakout. If they cannot go past high in five days, there is better use for the money .
great
ReplyDeletepradeep, then if we consider RVBD as an example, and its entry signal day high was 34.80 made 4 trading days ago. tomorrow will be the 5th day, right?
ReplyDeleteYes
ReplyDeleteWhat universe of stocks are you using for the Google spreadsheet.
ReplyDeleteThank you for a very good site.
Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThe universe is around 7000 stock currently in Worden database. I use the TC2007 database for all my analysis.
