Episodic Pivots

When programs kick in, they can create wild moves. Some of the action today clearly smelled of program buying at work.Some moves are old fashioned, red hot momentum on low float stocks.
There are couple of good moves in the list, where the moves are just beginning and the stocks have clear earnings catalyst. The blowout moves in some stocks at the top of the range are also worth getting in to with tight stop, strictly for short term trade.
Anyway in such a momentum blowout , tight stops is ideal, because if a stock can not make a move in such market conditions, there are better uses for your capital.

5 Insider buying
6 New orders
7 Biotech/drug approval

So catalyst might be either of these. What I am mostly looking for is first EP in 52 week. Also it should preferably be on neglected stock and usual stuff like float.

I am looking at eliminating the weak catalyst ones, take the strong
ones.

I buy both intra day and next day.

RVBD was one which I identified in the morning.

2 You do not get so many candidates on most days. Yesterday was aberration.

3 I have said before EP is discretionary system, so difficult to replicate my thinking. If you trade it over a long period you get a feel for it.
