Divergence between Nasdaq and Small Caps and rest of market continues. The large cap earnings and guidance have been good and that is getting reflected in the price moves in them, But large caps do not make the aggressive moves I look for unless they are rallying from multi year weakness.

    Large caps are having their day but small caps will follow. Breakouts on 3 that I own, KRSL, MOTX, ROCM today.

    Garytt, if I may ask, how did you get into KRSL and MOTX? Were you tracking earnings or IBD?

    MTOX is an IBD favorite and has been moving up the list They announced earnings last week which were good but it sold off any way. I have noticed the same thing has happened the past couple of quarters and then a rebound so I held on. Sold half today and will let the other half run.

    KRSL had great earnings last quarter and it's been on my watch list. It was weak thepast couple of weeks but late last week started to move. They produce parts for the aerospace industry. Boeing (BA) will announce earnings this week and everyone knows they have been raking in the orders (more today). KRSL is a play on this hot industry.

    Paradeep on another forum a statement was made about earnings I'd like to ask you about please.

    It was said that while a base was being built the big guys were slowly doing the buying. Then good earnings and....
    a. The Small Guys buy breakouts
    b. Shorts are covering
    c. Big guys are dumping

    With my newfound excitement over what I now call my "Paradeep System", could you explain what is taking place when many of our stocks continue to go up month over month, quarter after quarter. Is it that at the same time c above is taking place, many of the other big guys see the potential and are also buying in causing the continual rise?

    Known and unknown stocks determine how earnings will effect them. Neglected stocks which suddenly show earnings acceleration rally. Even if a stock is a well known stock and it has significant earning surprise and if its price coming in to earnings was not rallying, it will go up post earnings.
