Hello pradeep,
Great blog...do you use stop loss while trading episodic pivot ..?
Yes. It is normally low of the EP day.
Hi Pradeep,
If the stock is already up 10-16% at the time you run pre market scan would you NOT buy it? What is the percentage you would consider to be too late to get in?
Do you buy ATM or limit orders? Thank you
ATM
Thank you! When trading EP while it's about earnings - do you search same conditions to met: 100% QoQ and 5% + sales ?
Hi. Pradeep!
Excuse me but I ask a lot of questions during the last time. That's because I started trading exactly the same techniques that you do - earnings, $ and 4% breakout and antcipation setups and that's working. Especially earnings breakouts. My first try was MTRN - I did my little research and puted my order OPG and that's worked very well. My question is - what do you do if stock is eligible(100% + earnings, 5%+ sales, chart looks good) but earnings did not beat the estimate?
Thak you so much for this blog it is extremely helpfull: it helped me to established my routine and to start to control the risk.
Depending on how market reacts in after hours it is still a buy
Thank you. Today I made a bad trade by placing OPG and stock goes immediately south after opening but my mistake was I think that the stock was already 25% up on premarket. You mentionned that you put your stop 1 dollar below gap's low if it is a gap. But price can go down very quikly after opening. Do you wait 15 minutes before putting your stop?
no . I put stop immediately.
Hi could you please clarify what you mean by 100% QoQ and 5% + sales. Is it 100% QoQ revenue growth? what is the 5%?
From your previous blog you mentioned your using 3 broker IBKR, Ameritrade and Fedility is fedility the broker you use for premarket buy or Ameritrade? Thank you Pradeep reading from free blogs im already getting so much excited to sign up as a member once I finish reading all this blogs
Hi, Pradeep!
Can I ask what does the formula v>3*avgv50.1 means?
volume is 3 times average 50 day volume calculated as of a day before today
Hello Pradeep: I've seen you mention FSLY on May 7,2020 as a EP example where you placed a large bet at the market open. Yet it dropped $2.50 from its opening price. Did you stop out, or add to your position, or just hold firm in your belief that the stock was going up? Thanks.
