Market that keeps going up, up, and up

The little followed Amex composite index continues to perform well, inspite of several predictions of move in to higher capitalization stocks at the beginning of this quarter. The Amex traded stocks are unknown , besides that the slippage on Amex is big problem and I frankly think most market makers on Amex are crooks, but that's where the opportunities are currently.
Since June 2002, the Amex Composite Index has outpaced both the NYSE Composite Index and the NASDAQ Composite Index, as well as the major financial indexes. It covers approximately 850 American Stock Exchange stocks and represents less than 5% of the market value of all US stocks. The AMEX is a market capitalization-weighted index calculated on price change only and does not include income.
