Trade with Situational Awareness

July 24, 2026

What does Situational Awareness mean

In practical terms, it boils down to a simple question for me

if yes, but aggressively as early as possible and manage them.

If no, then are breakdowns likely to work?

If no, what setups are likely to work

Most of the time, SIPS, reversals, and select EP9 work best in these conditions, so focus on that.

What changes I need to make to the daily process to account for that SA

Why do this

Because if you don't trade with SA, you get drawdowns, and drawdowns are painful and, in most cases, career-ending

The question is: Is situational awareness essential for trading success? The answer is yes if swing and position trading. Even the quants have a regime filter and don't trade the same thing all the time.

Do you need to be a GOAT to become good at

No. Anyone can learn this. You can use any tool: MA, levels, Fibonacci, Alligator indicator, Moon Phases or voodoo dolls, but use SA daily.. Operate with SA. Control risk every trade and every time. If you don't want to do that, become a day trader.

Understand market breadth

July 23, 2026

Breadth thrusts are created by fund buying and selling.

When funds pour in money, you see blocks of buying like this, back-to-back 300-plus days. This is not driven by retail.

This shows you fund selling, back-to-back 300-plus days. Breadth tells you about underlying buying or selling pressure

Funds cannot hide their buying. This is what it looks like.

This is what a breadth thrust is. Funds coming every day and buying. This is where breakouts work and follow through.

These are the footprints of funds selling. Day after day of selling reflected in breadth numbers.

Market breadth is market-derived information that tells you when buying or selling is dominating in the market. Using this information to time breakouts helps us improve win rates and avoid drawdowns.

What do you see currently in the last few weeks:

Does that look like buying or selling to you? Do you think breakouts work in these conditions?

Situational Awareness for July 20, 2026

July 20, 2026

Long-term: We are in a secular bull market that started in 2009. 2022 launch of AI has given further legs to this secular trend. Secular bull markets historically last 15 to 20 years and end with bubbles, overexpansion, and inflation.

Short-term SA: we remain in a range-bound market. 20% of the study on the bullish side is at 15, indicating a strong probability of a short-term 3- to 5-day bounce.

Breakouts are unlikely to have follow-through here till a breadth thrust happens.

In a choppy, range-bound market, a good breakout will look as good as it did under better market conditions, but then fail to follow through.

Or look at $GS

Words of Appreciation for EG and Stockbee

I joined Stockbee in mid-September with the goal of gaining a deeper understanding of the nuances behind EPs. Before joining, I had traded a few good ones — NUTX, AREN, SEZL, DAVE, and ISSC, for example — but I couldn’t quite figure out which ones to hold for longer-term moves or when to take profits. As a result, I sold all of them too early and left a lot of potential gains on the table.

After joining Stockbee, I dove deep into studying EPs and the entire EP family. Since then, I’ve focused exclusively on trading EPs, DEPs, and EP9 setups. My account has grown by more than 50% since joining — the best performance I’ve ever had in such a short period. I do recognize that the past few weeks have been exceptional for EPs, offering tremendous opportunities, but without Stockbee’s knowledge and structure, I would never have been able to capitalize on them so effectively.

Some of my biggest winners over the past few weeks include GSIT, STI, NVTS, SPRB, NUAI, UAMY, BKKT, and DVLT — many of which I was only able to take thanks to the new process and deeper understanding I gained from this site and the detailed EP deep dives.

I also managed to solve a long-standing issue in my trading execution. Due to regulatory restrictions at my job, I can’t make intraday trades, which means I can’t manage risk on day one and can only sell starting from day two. This limitation made it difficult for me to take meaningful size right from the open. My new approach is to start with a smaller position and, if the trade works, add size at the end of the day. While this doesn’t give me the perfect entry price, it’s a practical and effective solution given my constraints. It’s such a simple idea, but I had never thought of it before. EG talked about those “eureka moments” in trading — when things suddenly click and start working. This was definitely one of those moments for me.

To sum it up, I want to sincerely thank the entire community, and especially EG, for building this platform. It has done wonders for my trading, and I’m excited to see it continue to grow, improve, and help many more traders in the future.

Thank you!

What are your trading Problems

September 6, 2025

The ability to solve your trading problems is fundamental to becoming a profitable trader. The difference between unprofitable traders and profitable traders is that the profitable traders found solutions to their trading issues.

I did a recent YouTube video about trading problems and the four basic kinds of problems in trading, based on helping thousands of traders solve their trading problems.

I addressed most of the comments left by viewers that were specific to trading.

If you have specific trading problems, leave them in comments, and I will answer them in a new post next week.

Only answer specific problems related to trading if they are related to the US stock market.

Find the young Episodic Pivots

September 1, 2025

The most explosive Episodic Pivots occur in stocks that have Gone Public in the last 10 years and have a capitalization of less than $ 10 billion once they enter their growth phase.

When stocks go IPO, many times they may not be ready for immediate growth. Many are development-stage companies. They IPO when conditions are right for an IPO, as they need money to grow.

Their real moves start when they start growing revenue aggressively. After the IPO, they typically start going down. Most trade 50% or more below their IPO price and get neglected. They will have very low capitalization, low fund ownership, and low interest from analysts and general investors.

In the meantime, they continue to work on their business, and some of them start growing very rapidly as their product or service takes off. When they come out with earnings, they surprise everyone big and then the explosive move happens as funds buy such growth stocks.

Not all IPO reach these milestones; most just disappear in a few years.

To find the IPO with good revenue growth, I use the following two scans in Marketsurge.

This scan finds stocks incorporated or IPOed in last 10 years that have a market capitalization below 11 billion and have two quarters of revenue growth of 39% plus.

Most big winning stocks appear first in this scan before their significant move. This helps in finding Episodic Pivots based on real growth as a catalyst. It also helps to enter them as delayed reactions EP.

This list is tiny and allows you to focus on the most attractive young growth stocks in the market.
