There is a very interesting journal on elitetrader by Spydertrader, which documents how he has developed and trades a very simple trading system. The essence of the system is equity selection using IBD criteria. The entries have been perfected to enter at low risk point. The exits have profit targets. It is a high frequency trading system with some degree of judgment and discretion but overall a very good system.
The journal also is an excellent example of how by focusing on simple idea and concept you can convert it in to profitable system. Lot of time traders spend too much time flirting from one thing to another rather than focusing on few things.
