There will be a lot of talk today about big picture as the job number is released. The problem with big picture is data gets released everyday and as Wall Street's appetite for data keeps increasing more data gets released. To make meaning out of it and trade is one way to trade, if you have a big bankroll, or your are an elephant doing asset allocation kind of trend.
For an individual speculator it is much better to spend time sweating over a profitable trading system, or systems and let the risk management and stops take you out if big picture changes.
I keep an eye on big picture, but that is as I have said more to kill time and keep the brain occupied.
