There are around 14 new additions to the IBD 200 list. Media, metals and leisure stocks dominate new additions. While many traders continue to trade last bull markets leader, the technology stocks, you would notice most of the big movers in this list are little known stocks from non technology sectors. For example take GEO, The Geo Group which is up 185% in a year and it is prison and security operator.

The one constant about market is leadership comes from unknown , little followed, out of favor companies. Unless you are trading billions, one of the best way to beat the market is to just forget about well known, over hyped, large float stocks followed by analyst and large group of traders. The gems are always in the market's dustbin.

A lot of weakness today. I'm thinking to asdd to my position in USAP. I see it was added to the IBD200 also. Is RKT in that list? Had another great earnings release today.
Steel is the new high tech!! All the steel stocks are flying. No RKT is not in the list currently, but it could soon according to my calculations.
X and ATI arent behaving so strongly, either making new highs/breaking out on low volume or falling below what one would consider critical support areas...

Did we realy rally yesterday? Looking at today's market it is hard to believe that. Whipsaw territory continues.
We'll see if the general market indices can hold on to ANY of their gains from yesterday. At the moment, it appears not - but also at the moment, it appears I'm holding on to some of yesterday's gains. Funny, just this weekend I was writing that we appear to be in neutral and just this morning was writing that I was "disappointed" by the shortness of the consolidation.
It will probably take some time to establish market eadership; until then, I guess I'm gonna have to trade my way around it. I don't buy that the metals are going to be leaders, yet.
Just use any measure of relative strength Steel is currently number 2, silver , copper, aluminium, non metalic minerals and other minerals are in top 20 sectors. Look at top 5% stock by relative strength and see which sector stocks are in the list. Look at the 800 stocks up 25% or more in the last 65 days and see which sector stocks are majority in that list. They are already leading the market.
CPS heading down? broke under MA50 and 200... on decent volume

You will have a gala time on short side. Just watch brokers, casinos, exchanges and all stocks up 50% or more in last 60 days.
Failure after an attempted breakout to new high is generaly a very reliable signal.
