Stocks scored gains Thursday, though indexes witnessed late fade and volume was low. Individual stocks continue to show momentum and earnings lead breakout. The technical analysts, perma bears and conspiracy theorists were quick to jump on the correction and convince this one is for real. The market has acted contrary to that.

Current conventional wisdom being that this is just a weak bounce and will fail. The market does not seem to be following that script. With fickle short providing the fuel, a few more days of positive action or a major push by the big speculators will send the bears scurrying. The risk of upside move currently is higher, because everyone is looking for down move. The cash on sideline can help a lot if rally gets going. So watch out for a possible surprise.

It never hurts to keep your buy list ready.

Hello..just stumbled on your site. The picks look quite strong.
Question for you.
1.What is your entry criteria on my of these stocks?
2. What is your exit criteria?
Most of them look quite overextended. And from my experience with stocks such stocks are prone to correcting ready for the next move. Do you just buy them and with a stop in place stop or wait for the next pullback, before entry?
Will appreciate your comments..

1)I do not buy all stocks in this list. My entry criteria is stock out of this list which had lowest 65 day price growth plus it is within 15% of the high during the 100% plus move.
Once I am fully invested, I will buy next stock out of the list only when I get stopped out on existing position.
2)Exit is using a trailing stop.

My experience of overextended stocks is , some of them become even more overextended. That is how a stock goes up 1600% or 2000% in a year.
I do not buy pullback. The stocks in this list seldom have buyable pullbacks.
Look at a stock like PTT which is up 900% from the 260 day low.The pullbacks are visible in retrospect but the best entries were on 4% plus price brak.

I have been in and out of PTT and am currently long. Whats a good way to decide exit on the plus side? Would volume/momentum be the key criteria once you have decided to enter a stock?

Use trailing stops.
