Market breadth has steadily improved over last month
Breakout based strategies like Double Trouble and IBD 200 work better in such environment.
How long the bullish phase will last is not clear and there was some profit taking today.
However as everyone is skeptical of the rally, it might persist longer.
Number of new leaders (stocks with high IBD EPS ratings) are breaking out.
Most of them have 2-3 month bases or consolidations and you will see number of cup with handle breakouts.

* The market continues to be volatile and rallies are still finding it difficult to break out of range.
* However the intense selling pressure phase is over. Market Monitor readings have shown steady improvements.
* Most probably we are putting in a bottom. Market may not immediately start rallying, but most of the weakness is behind us.
* The McClellan Summation Index is also confirming the same.
* The worst is most probably behind us.

More and more stocks are finding buy interest in last 9 days. In 6 out of nine days the buying pressure was two times more than selling pressure. There are around 6 times more stocks up 25% in a month compared to stocks down 25% in a month.
The top ten sectors continue to be dominated by metals, agriculture, and energy.
