If you have well defined method, one day does not matter, one trade does not matter. You make money over period of time. Episodic Pivots, Double Trouble, Son of Double Trouble, IBD 200, IBD EPS 70 plus are the methods I keep trading no matter what happens on day to day level. If market enters bearish territory the bearish methods kick in.

Gee, maybe I am on the verge of "getting it". I ALMOST sent you an email asking what to sell.
I must say that your blog is one of the best that I have seen in terms of relevant commentary and information. Thanks alot for the info publishing. I do have a question though about the stocks that break out on the IBD 200. (Have a subscription). Do you set a stop loss when your order is confirmed just in case it is a false breakout? I have been running a hypothetical portfolio of about 20 stocks for the past month and have about a 7% return. A few of those stocks I have added for my real portfolio although I happen to have picked the ones with less success. Go figure. Thanks again.
Pradeep, What method do you use to determine "if the market has entered bearish territory". How do you determine when to kick in your bearish methods?

Stop is 2 days low. (if you want to give the stock a bit more room make it 3 day low).
There is also a 5 day time stop. The stock should move beyond the high of breakout price (this allows you to re-circulate capital into other faster moving opportunities).
skytrader,
What percent of your total capital do you risk on such trades? Thanks.
I risk 1 to 2% on such trades.
David
