How to find IPO's
Now if you have TC2007 , it is very easy to find IPO's for your chosen time frames.
Supposing you want to find all IPO's that happened in last 5 years just follow the following steps:
- Go to "All Stocks"
- Sort by price growth rate 5 years
- All the stocks at the end which have no values associated with them are IPO's
- Flag them and put in new Watch list
- Use "Sublist" to remove "Exchange Traded Funds"

What do you think about IBKR IPO? I read people getting in on the first day expecting a big pop but the stock hasn't stopped tanking.
Buying IPO's on first day is ignorant peoples game.
You have to wait for the flippers to get out and then if it has good earnings and breaks out on high volume , then buy. Eagerly anticipated IPO's tend to under perform, while ignored IPO's do well. Also many times IPO's do well after lock up has expired, which tends to be after six month.
The easiest way to make money in IPO is to get alloted at IPO price through underwriter and flip it. . That option is not open unless you are a very special and big customer of under writing firms.
If you belong to IBD and have the "wizzard:, you can also go to the "general" tab and plug in dates for ipo's. You can further have it set to sort them for new highs during the day real time

on the left you have links to Post-IPO Performance (3, 6, 1 year).
Very convenient.
Pradeep,
If i want to consider a company's earnings acceleration or lack of it, what do i look at?:
1) Qtr. over Qtr. EPS Growth Rate
2) Earnings Per Share - Quarterly Results
3) Revenue - Quarterly Results (in Millions)
thanks...
GLBL chart has potential maybe...
Current quarter EPS compared to corresponding quarter last year.
great - thanks

Hey.
I have TeleChart.
However, I can not generate a custom Price Growth Rate column. All I can use are the fixed 1, 2, 3 and 5 years.
How do you do a custom one?
dduck
What period growth rate you want to calculate.
let's say 1 month.
There is pre existing scan in Telechart "Price Percent change 1 month"
100*(c-c21)/c21
