Transports and Solar Energy

5 th day of strength in the market continues. The markets during this bull runs have been characterized by such vertical up moves without corrections. However it is always good idea to sell in to strength and euphoria, what you bought during market correction few weeks ago.

Transports and solar energy are two sectors witnessing some aggressive buying. Most solar plays were good buys many weeks ago, when they had breakout after multi week consolidation. Transport stocks like FDX are just starting to rally, might be worth keeping an eye on.

Its interesting that only 11 of the 200 stocks you listed are in the IBD 200. Is that typical or unusual? Here is what I came up with as the IBD 200 (as of 7-5-07) overlap universe:
ACTU
AFSI
CROX
DSX
GMCR
JASO
KMGB
ONAV
SIMO
STP
TEX

Hey Pradeep, is this list the same as "Double Trouble"?

Thanks,

No This is 4% plus movers on high volume as of the scan time.

Hi Pradeep,
I am wondering why your list of stocks up more than 4% does not contain NWBO has it moved more than 249%? Is it because you would consider it an Episodic Pivot even if it was under 5$ before the move? Maybe you can tell me the difference between a Breakout and an Episodic Pivot...

As always, thank you for your insight !

"The markets during this bull runs have been characterized by such vertical up moves without corrections".

Yes, a relentless climb we have had since July 2006.

This is what occured in 1986 to the Crash of 1987. We had a relentless climb during the 9 months period after December 1986.
We had also a shallow 4 year decline in 1986.

We again had a shallow 4 year decline in Mid-2006 and now we are headed into October 2007 soon.

Is the price of gold rise telling us something about a currency problem ahead is it all about banks defaults.

It is likely that NWBO or NWBT has not appeared on any of the scans on this site because this stock trades on the OTC BB. My understanding is that Telechart , the software the scans on this site are designed for, does not currently carry OTC stocks.

Thank you Sky!

Also, would someone be so kind to let me know how to add the Formulas to the charts in TC2007 (middle and bottom pane)? And, is it possible to add the episodic pivot scan (bullish)at once or do we have to add them seperately?

Pradeep Bonde said...

1 Add them under % true if they are true or false kinds
2 EP needs to inputed separately.

tks Pradeep, i'll try that!
